Health is Wealth
SPREAD SOME WARMTH AND WELLNESS
I’d like to invite you to be part of our efforts to spread some love to some of our young ones. We are working with our family run non-profit, based in the NW corner of New Mexico, to collect donations for Navajo children living in government boarding schools.
Each week these kids leave their home, travel to their school, and live there in dorms. Our goal this month is provide “WELLNESS kits with personal care items that are essentials to these children during their time in dorms, with supplies parents can’t afford for them, during the school week. We’ll be travelling with Haley Laughter from Hozho Total Wellness, to bring access to yoga practice to heal mind, body, and spirit.
I am heading out the reservation March 4-8th to assemble care packages and deliver donations. We’ve started a GOFUNDME page to fund supplies, with 100% of donations going to these kids K thru High School. It’s still below freezing in the evenings so warmth items are still needed for these kids……knit hats, gloves and scarves.
Project Goals - 400 Kits for K thru 12
Distribution in the Counselor, Toadlena, Huerfano, Pueblo Pintado regions
We are looking for donations in order to deliver
